Medication Setup

Often, older individuals have several medications to take daily. Our registered nurse or licensed practical nurse can set up medications in a dispenser for a weekly or bi-weekly time period to facilitate the ease and accuracy of their dispensing so that patients are taking their medications correctly.

Setup Medication in a Dispenser

One of the more challenging aspects of caring for an elderly loved one is managing their medications. To ensure in-home care patients in West Michigan are receiving their medications accurately and safely, a registered nurse will consult with the patient’s doctor to verify the list and dosages of your loved one’s medications and then set up a convenient dispenser on a weekly or bi-weekly basis to ensure that they are receiving their medications properly.

Medication Setup FAQs

We provide in-home Medication Setup to ensure your elderly loved on is receiving their medications accurately. Here are some basic questions we receive most frequently.
Is in-home care a safe way to manage my loved one’s medications?
One of the leading causes of death in Americans over 65 is medication errors. Our medication setup helps patients effectively and safely manage their medications.
How does your in-home medication plan work?
Typically, an in-home care RN will come to your house, review your loved one’s medications with their physician to determine the accurate dosages and frequency, and set up a dispenser that will alert the patient when it is time to take each of their medications.
What happens if the doctor changes one or more of the medications?
Because we’re in regular, ongoing contact with your loved one and their physician and monitor their medication schedule, we will be alerted to any changes in medications and adjust our in-home medication setup accordingly.
